Okay, so I'm going to apologize for not continuing with the NYFW 2011; something came up. I will try to finish it up some other time.
In the mean time, I made some Apple and Raisin Muffins from a recipe I found at Recipeland and they are so yummy!!! I made some little changes and I also used round baking pans instead of muffin pans.
Here is the recipe:
1.5 cups of unbleached all-purpose flour
1 tspn Baking soda
1 tspn Cinnamon
1/4 tspn all natural sea salt
2 egg whites
3/4 cups white sugar
1 tspn Vanilla extract
1 can Comstock apple filling (I chopped them up into little pieces)
3/4 cups raisins
2 Tbspn organic honey

Best of New York fashion week | Day 4
Off-shoulder dresses. I love the purple one especially for the color. It just emits a sense of sophistication and class.

Best of New York Fashion Week | Day 2
As I watched the second day of New York Fashion Week, I thought I would not have anything to review, only because practically none of the designers today blew me away. Most of what I saw, I figured if I went to Nordstroms or Macys, I would be able to find it there. That is not a good thing. The trends just seemed to be repeated from last season. When I view designs on the runway, I am looking for originality, something unique and something that I wouldn't be able to find just anywhere.
By the end of the night, I can say that Venexiana was by FAR my favorite. I have also included a presentation by a Ghanaian designer Mimi Plange. Now she is a designer to watch out for!!!!

Best of New York Fashion Week | Day 1
Yesterday marked the beginning of 2011 Fall New York Fashion Week, and it began with The Heart Truth's Red Dress Collection where celebrities wore red to draw attention to a national campaign on women and heart disease.
Today, the runway was filled with ready-to-wear designer clothes with yummy details rainging from brocade to texture to flowing gowns to embellishments to jewel-toned color to sparkle, all of which I love.
Following are my favorites:

First Lady Michelle Obama in Rachel Roy | For Sale: Something like it with a twist on it
I think First Lady Michelle Obama depicts the epitome of grace and class in some of the clothes she wears. Case and point, at the State of the Union address. She wore a Rachel Roy sheath dress with a black and white bow at the neckline in show of support of Rep. Giffords. What do you think?
